The FC Bayern team celebrates the end of the season in a high-class restaurant in Munich. Thomas Tuchel is bid farewell by the bosses.

The bosses of FC Bayern have bid farewell to Thomas Tuchel. The coach was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a framed picture with a Bayern jersey at the team’s end-of-season party in Munich’s upmarket Käfer restaurant. This could be seen in a video that FC Bayern shared on its website. Then things got emotional for a moment: Sports Director Christoph Freund and CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen hugged the coach, who is leaving the club at the end of the season. Chief Sports Officer Max Eberl was also seen in the scene in the video saying goodbye.

Tuchel back in the Premier League?

Tuchel’s next stop could be the English Premier League. It is an open secret that the 50-year-old would like to work on the island again. Before joining FC Bayern, Tuchel coached Chelsea FC. Now he is repeatedly linked with Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Bayern have still not found a coach for the new season. After Munich’s final game of the season at TSG Hoffenheim (2:4), Eberl ruled out the possibility of Roberto De Zerbi becoming the new coach. Shortly beforehand, it had been announced that the Italian would be leaving his club Brighton after the season. Previously, Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, Ralf Rangnick, Oliver Glasner and Roger Schmidt had already turned Bayern down. Tuchel’s departure was also discussed, but the club and coach were unable to reach an agreement.
